There are many athletes playing sports today, but nearly not as many team personnel members to watch each and every one play in every game. Video is vital in the resume process to go along with statistics earned by each athlete. If a player has good numbers statistically, team personnel members would want to see video evidence as well. Normally word of mouth and video goes hand in hand.
Video highlights became vital to many athletes success or
NON-success in some cases. If a player looked good in that film, then that
would intrigue the teams to want to know more about a player. With that being
said, video highlights can also be tricky. It can make a player virtuously look
better than he or she really is. A good video editor can take the best plays
from the athlete’s game film, and compile it into a short highlight. The
athlete could have made 3-4 good plays in an entire game, but really looked bad
most of it, but in a video highlight we will never know just from the selected
clips.
Video highlights are very popular in all sports; ESPN’s sports
center is notorious for displaying many highlights from major games that are
played everywhere.
